Before you start
E.Leclerc sells in France and runs on Mirakl, so your content travels the same road as on every other Mirakl marketplace: an E.Leclerc tab per product, a validation, and then the listing.
E.Leclerc keeps its seller documentation in its own back office, so check the current requirements of your categories there. What follows is the part the app enforces plus the rules we see E.Leclerc apply most often.
One rule shapes the rest of the work: the fields you fill come from E.Leclerc, per category. Every category returns its own set of mandatory and optional attributes, so two products in two categories do not ask you for the same things.
Steps
- Open "Validation" in the left sidebar and pick the E.Leclerc tile.
- Click "Add missing PIM tabs" on a category card. The first product without a tab opens, with the wizard for a new version already open.
- Select the marketplace in the wizard.
- Choose the category via "Select category". This is the permanent choice the warning above is about.
- Set the translation for the market you sell in.
- Fill the fields under "Global marketplace fields (mandatory)" and "Mandatory fields category". These are the attributes E.Leclerc returns for that category, not a list of ours.
- Fill the fields under "Optional fields" as well. Mirakl marketplaces score how complete your product data is, and a product that scores low can be held back.
- Click "Create tab".
- Read the translated values back, colours first: check every attribute value and correct the ones that stayed in the original language.
- Click "Save product" and pick "Save & close" in the menu that opens, so your corrections are stored before you leave the product.
- Click "Validate products" on the category card and pick "Fill mandatory fields & validate" or "Validate only" in the menu that opens.
- Clear what validation reports, because nothing is sent while a mandatory field is empty or a value is not accepted.
- Click "Listing", pick the E.Leclerc tile, select your validated products and click "List content".
- Click "List offers" once the content is through. Content places the product in the catalogue of E.Leclerc and the offer attaches your price and stock to it, so that order is fixed.
What happens next
E.Leclerc handles the content on its own side, so a clean run in e-tailize is not yet a product on the shop. What comes back as a listing error always names three things: the EAN, the field and the value that was refused. Look the product up by that EAN, correct that field, save with "Save & close", validate again and run "List content" again.
Common problems
The E.Leclerc tab offers only a handful of mandatory and optional fields. Check first which category the product sits in, because a different or a too generic category returns a smaller field set. Then click "Refresh category" on the category card to fetch the fields again; while that runs the card says "Marketplace field sync is processing for this category". A change on the side of the marketplace can make fields appear or disappear, and a remap against the refreshed definition fixes it. If the list stays that short, ask us in the chat.
Offers are refused with "Invalid product id. Please make sure to supply a valid EAN." An EAN is accepted at 8, 12, 13 or 14 digits with a correct check digit. One EAN that fails stops the whole push before anything reaches E.Leclerc, so correct that one and push again.
FAQ
Which language does my E.Leclerc content need?
French. The marketplace sells in France, and the tab translates your content into the language the marketplace asks for. Read the result before you list: attribute values such as colours are sometimes left as they were.
Can I still change the category of a product?
Not on a tab that already exists. The category is fixed when the tab is created, so a product that sits in the wrong category is a question for us in the chat.
Where are the official E.Leclerc content rules?
In the E.Leclerc seller back office. Outside it, only the FAQ that E.Leclerc writes for shoppers is public, so verify the rules per category in the back office.
