Before you start

Praxis is the Dutch do it yourself marketplace of Maxeda, the group that also runs Brico. Both channels share one set of content rules, so set them up the same way. You need an approved seller account, an API key created in the seller back office of Praxis, and your store id, before you can connect.

Praxis runs on Mirakl, the software behind most retailer marketplaces we connect, so the wizard looks the same as for every other Mirakl marketplace. You need one API key from Praxis.

We connect Praxis for the Netherlands.

Steps

Create the API key in the seller back office of Praxis and copy it in full. Your store id sits there as well, in the settings or on the main page of your seller account.

  1. Open "Settings" in the left sidebar and click "Connections".

  2. Click "New connection", or open the marketplace wizard directly.

  3. Pick "Marketplace" in the chooser and click the Praxis logo under "Connect marketplace provider".

The wizard for Praxis: "Fill in required connection tokens" with the fields of Praxis
  4. Fill in "Connection name", your own reference for this connection.

  5. Paste the value into "API KEY". The field is masked, so you see dots instead of what you pasted.

  6. Pick the country you sell in under "Where do you offer your products?".

  7. Fill in "Store Id".

  8. Click "Save".

  9. Click "Validation" in the left sidebar, pick the Praxis tile and click "Add missing PIM tabs" on every category you sell there.

  10. Fill the mandatory Praxis fields on those tabs and click "Validate products". Get a product live walks through that screen step by step.

  11. Click "Listing", pick the Praxis tile, select your validated products and click "List content". Click "List offers" once the content is through.

What happens next

Maxeda approves product data only once every mandatory field is filled in, on Praxis and on Brico. A product that leaves e-tailize without an error can still be waiting for that check.

The connection appears on the "API connections" page and as a card under "Existing connections" on the dashboard, and it starts feeding your dashboard, your orders and your stock. Orders from Praxis come in under "Fulfillment" and then "Orders", with the same "Open", "Processing" and "Closed" filters as your other channels.

Common problems

A vague listing error on several products at once is usually the title, a description that is too short, too few images, an image that is too small, or a missing USP. Praxis sets the exact lengths, image sizes and USP rules per language in its seller guideline, so check them there.

Praxis enforces limits on content: a product carries at least 2 images.
