Before you start
Brico is the Belgian do it yourself marketplace of Maxeda, the group that also runs Praxis. Both channels share one set of content rules, so set them up the same way. Brico decides who gets on, so apply there first. You need an approved seller account, an API key from the Brico seller back office and your store id before you can connect.
Brico runs on Mirakl, the software behind most retailer marketplaces we connect, so the wizard looks the same as for every other Mirakl marketplace. You need one API key from Brico.
We connect Brico for Belgium and Luxembourg.
Steps
Create the API key in the seller back office of Brico and copy it in full. Your store id sits there as well, in the settings or on the main page of your seller account. One connection carries one sales location, so a second storefront needs a second connection.
Open "Settings" in the left sidebar and click "Connections".
Click "New connection", or open the marketplace wizard directly.
Pick "Marketplace" in the chooser and click the Brico logo under "Connect marketplace provider".

The wizard for Brico: "Fill in required connection tokens" with the fields of Brico Fill in "Connection name", your own reference for this connection.
Paste the value into "API KEY". The field is masked, so you see dots instead of what you pasted.
Pick the country you sell in under "Where do you offer your products?". The list holds "Belgium (Dutch)", "Belgium (French)" and "Luxembourg".
Fill in "Store Id".
Click "Save".
Click "Validation" in the left sidebar, pick the Brico tile and click "Add missing PIM tabs" on every category you sell there.
Fill the mandatory Brico fields on those tabs and click "Validate products". Get a product live walks through that screen step by step.
Click "Listing", pick the Brico tile, select your validated products and click "List content". Click "List offers" once the content is through.
What happens next
Maxeda approves product data only once every mandatory field is filled in, on Brico and on Praxis. A product that leaves e-tailize without an error can still be waiting for that check. Your content goes out in Dutch and in French, so plan both languages from the start instead of translating afterwards.
The connection appears on the "API connections" page and as a card under "Existing connections" on the dashboard, and it starts feeding your dashboard, your orders and your stock. Orders from Brico come in under "Fulfillment" and then "Orders", with the same "Open", "Processing" and "Closed" filters as your other channels.
Common problems
A vague listing error on a batch of products is usually the title, a description that is too short, an image that is too small, too few distinct images, or a USP that is missing in one language. Maxeda sets the exact lengths and image sizes per language in its seller guideline, so check the numbers there. Write numbers with a full stop, never a comma.
Brico enforces limits on content: a product carries at least 2 images.
