Before you start
e-tailize connects seven Amazon stores: NL, BE, DE, FR, IT, ES and SE. Each of them is its own connection, with its own product tabs, its own validation and its own listings, so a product that runs on Amazon NL does not move to another country by itself.
Amazon asks the same things of you in every country, so run through this list before you connect one:
- an Amazon seller account for that store, on a professional selling plan
- EANs registered with GS1
- a brand registration with Amazon
- main images on a completely white background
- the same EANs in your webshop, your warehouse, your marketplaces and e-tailize, or, when that is truly impossible, identical SKUs everywhere
Steps
- Complete Amazon's registration for the new country and check that your selling plan covers it.
- Check that the EANs of the products you want to sell there are registered with GS1.
- Arrange your brand registration with Amazon for that store.
- Line up the EANs of those products across your systems, or make the SKUs identical.
- Add the connection for that Amazon store in e-tailize.
- Create a PIM tab per product for the new connection and answer "Would you like to translate?" with Yes, so the texts arrive in the language of that store, see Create or delete a PIM tab and Translate your products. Amazon wants the product details in the local language.
- Fill the fields the new category asks for and validate the products, see Get a product live.
- Click "Listing" and pick the tile of the new store.
- Tick the products you want to publish, with "Select items to perform actions" or with the checkbox in front of each product.
- Run "List content".
- Click "Submit offers" in the "Listing validation" panel that comes up once the content is through. It sends the offers for the same selection.
What happens next
The listing page shows one store at a time. Pick the tile of the new store and you see its own status per product there. Switch tiles to go back to the country you already run. Watch the issues that come back above the listing grid in the first days, see Read the listing status and errors.
Common problems
Fields you never had to fill on your first store. The mandatory fields come from Amazon per category, and Amazon changes them, so a new tab can ask for more than the one you built earlier. Fill what the tab shows and validate again.
The category search finds nothing for the new connection. The categories of a new connection are not available straight away. Open the connection in your settings, save it again and search once more.
Products refused for a missing SKU. Amazon needs a SKU on the "Main product" tab, in every country. See Amazon validations.
FAQ
Do I need a tab per country?
Yes. One connection per store, one tab per product per connection. That is also what lets you carry a different text, a different price and a different stock per country.
