Troubleshooting

The app feels slow, what to check

Four checks on your own side when e-tailize feels slow: your connection, your browser, your cache and a hard reset.

Before you start

e-tailize runs in your browser, so a slow screen usually starts on your own side. Four things on your own side explain most of it. Work through them in order, they take a couple of minutes together.

Steps

  1. Check your internet connection and make sure it is stable. A connection that drops in and out is slower in practice than a connection that is simply not fast.
  2. Open e-tailize in Google Chrome. The application performs better there than in other browsers.
  3. Clear the cache of your computer.
  4. Do a hard reset of the web application, so the browser fetches everything again instead of reusing what it kept.

What happens next

Still slow after those four? Tell us in the app chat, and say which screen is slow and what you were doing on it. That is what we need to look in the right place.

FAQ

Is one screen slow or is everything slow?

Worth checking before you report it. One slow screen with a large number of products behaves differently from an application that is slow everywhere, and the two have different causes.

Does another browser work too?

It works. Chrome is the browser we recommend, and the one the application performs best in. If a screen is only slow in your own browser, that is the answer.
