Before you start
You need a Kaufland connection and products that passed validation for it: a product that is not on Kaufland yet only appears in the listing grid once it is validated. Kaufland runs on its own API and not on Mirakl, so instructions for a Mirakl marketplace do not apply here.
Listing is two pushes in a fixed order. "List content" puts the product in Kaufland's catalogue, "List offers" attaches your offer to it. What you read here is the result of the first one.
Steps
- Click "Listing" in the left sidebar and pick the Kaufland tile. "Product listing status" opens with the products of that connection.
- Select the products you want to send and click "List content". Leave the tab open while the run is busy.
- Read the panel "Listing validation" once the run is done. "All entries validated without issues." means nothing came back, and when that sentence is absent the table below it holds the entries with issues.
- Every row with a red icon in the "Validation status" column carries its error card directly underneath. That card opens with "Placing this product to the marketplace returned errors. Depending on the marketplace data may be partially updated", and every error under it stands as a "Functional error" holding the text Kaufland sent back. On Kaufland each line of that text starts with the word "Field", then the name of the field, a colon and the message. The "Technical error" box next to it stays empty here.
- Note the EAN and the field name of every line. That pair is the whole fix: one EAN, one field.
- Look the product up under "Products" by its EAN and correct the named field on its Kaufland tab. The message behind the field name is written by Kaufland, so it says what Kaufland expects there.
- Save the product with "Save & close" at the top right.
- Validate the product again and click "List content" for it once more. Click "List offers" when the content is through.
What happens next
"Submit offers" under the result panel stays disabled as long as an entry has issues, so a content run has to come back clean before your offers can go.
A clean run means Kaufland accepted your data, not that the product is live. Kaufland keeps a status per EAN and works through it in its own time. That status carries the final verdict, and the reason for a refusal that arrives after the acceptance.
Common problems
The message is nothing but a long code
That code is our reference to the run. There is nothing in your product data to fix: ask us in the app chat with the EAN and that code, and we look the run up.
"does not comply with the expected SI unit"
A length or a weight has to carry its unit, for example 250mm. This one comes from e-tailize before anything reaches Kaufland, so fix it on the Kaufland tab: take the unit from the hint next to the field, then validate again.
An error that arrives after "List offers"
That one does not stand in "Listing validation" but in a panel called "Offer response" above the grid, with the columns "Ean", "Message", "Name" and "Value". You fix it the same way: find the EAN, correct the field, push again.
FAQ
Can I list the product again under a second EAN to get it live?
No. Kaufland does not allow one product under more than one EAN, so a second EAN is not a way around a refusal. Correct the field the error names instead, and check Kaufland's seller guidelines for what it expects.
e-tailize reported no problems, so why is the product not on Kaufland?
Because the check runs afterwards. Your data was accepted, and Kaufland's own status per EAN is what tells you whether it passed.
