Before you start
Two different things go wrong on Allegro and the fix is not the same. A validation error stops the product inside e-tailize, before anything is sent. A listing error comes back from Allegro after "List content", and it always names the EAN, the field and the value Allegro refused.
On Allegro every offer hangs on a product in the Allegro catalogue, so the order is fixed: "List content" first, "List offers" after.
Steps
- Open the listing page and pick the Allegro tile.
- Read the error on the product that failed and note the EAN, the field and the value it names.
- Click "Products" in the left sidebar and look the product up by that EAN.
- Open the Allegro PIM tab on that product.
- Correct the field the error names, using what the error message says Allegro expects.
- Click "Save & close".
- Click "Validation" in the left sidebar, open the Allegro category card and click "Validate products".
- Go back to "Listing" and click "List content".
- Click "List offers" once the content is through.
What happens next
Allegro checks in two passes: it answers the call straight away and verifies the product in its own catalogue afterwards. A send that returns no error is not proof that the product is live.
A product Allegro accepted but cannot find yet reports "Allegro accepted the product proposal, but the catalog product is not searchable by EAN or exact product name yet". This is a wait state, not a data error: wait for the catalogue check and run "List content" again before you create the offer.
Common problems
Identifier missing. "Reference or EAN is required." The EAN usually exists in the Main Tab but is not mapped on the Allegro tab, so check the mapping before you go looking for the EAN itself.
Title too long. "Allegro product name cannot be longer than 75 characters." Allegro itself asks for 12 to 75 characters and at least three words, so a very short title is refused as well.
Category fields empty. "At least one product parameter is required to submit Allegro product content." Allegro publishes its required parameters per category. Click "Refresh category" on the category card to pull the current list.
Safety information. "Allegro safety information is required for new or GPSR-updated product offers. Provide safety information text." The text has a cap: "Allegro safety information text cannot be longer than 5000 characters." A new offer also needs a producer: "Responsible producer is required for new offers or when the current offer does not already contain one."
Prices. "Base price must be greater than zero." On the Hungarian market, "Hungarian Allegro prices must be whole HUF amounts ending in 0 or 5."
Images. "Image URL must be an absolute HTTP or HTTPS URL.", "Image URL must not include credentials." and "Image URL host is not allowed." all point at the same fix: rehost the image on a public https address.
FAQ
My own brand is not in the brand field. What now?
Allegro has to register the brand on its side before it comes through the API and shows up in e-tailize. Ask Allegro to register it. Until then you can list under a different brand and change it afterwards.
The validation asks for a long list of mandatory fields. Do I fill them one by one?
No. Click "Validate products" on the category card and work in the "Resolve mapping fields errors" panel: set the value once, or click "Convert to reference field" and point it at the Main Tab field that already holds the value. Click "Apply to all products" so it lands on every product in that validation, then click "Continue mapping". Values that come out of your own data you fill in the Main Tab first, so they flow through.
May I use AI generated images on Allegro?
Yes. Since 29 July 2026 Allegro asks you to label images that are made or edited with AI, following the EU AI Act. The label is the obligation, not a ban.
How many images may an Allegro offer carry?
Allegro allows up to 16 images per offer, and the main image wants a white background and no watermark. Those are Allegro's own rules, so check its help pages when you are in doubt.
I sell on more than one Allegro country. Why does one market ask for a base price?
A market other than the one your seller account is authenticated on needs a base marketplace price above zero: "Listing must contain a base marketplace price greater than zero when selected Allegro marketplace differs from the authenticated seller base marketplace."
