Questions sellers ask about MediaMarkt.
What does selling on MediaMarkt cost?
MediaMarkt charges €39 net per month plus commission per item sold. Listing is free and there is no setup fee. The percentage depends on your category and is reported between 7% and 15%; MediaMarkt does not publish the table. Example: a €300 appliance costs €21 at 7% and €45 at 15%, on top of the €39 that month. The e-tailize program comes separately, from €249 per month.
What does MediaMarkt require from sellers?
A company seated in the EU, trade and tax registration in the EU, an EU bank account, a warehouse inside the EU for shipping and returns, customer service in the language of the shop and an EAN on every product. Whether your brand gets in here, and whether it is worth it, is what the free exploration call is for.
Do I need an EAN for MediaMarkt?
Yes. The marketplace matches your offer to its own catalogue entry on EAN, so wrong codes are the usual reason offers stall. We keep codes, attributes and images in one PIM and check them before publishing.
Who ships MediaMarkt orders?
You do, from your own warehouse or your 3PL, and returns run from a warehouse inside the EU. There is no marketplace fulfilment, so every order lands straight in the setup you already use.
When does MediaMarkt pay out?
Payouts are released 21 days after the customer payment is confirmed, through the marketplace payment provider. Payment handling and returns processing sit inside the monthly contribution and the commission.
Does this also cover the Saturn shops?
Yes. The same marketplace runs across the MediaMarkt and Saturn shops, live in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Italy and Poland. Each shop expects its own language, with offers and stock set up per shop.
Why go through e-tailize?
You sell through your own seller account. We know what this channel looks for and prepare your case, your selling rights and your product data that way. After that the software does the rest, catalogue, translation, stock and orders in one place, ready for 200+ marketplaces.
