On this page
Before you start
Stock only reaches a marketplace when two things are true. The switches from your source to that marketplace are on, and the product is known on both sides: e-tailize has to recognise your product as the offer that stands on the marketplace, otherwise there is nothing to write a count to.
Your source is whatever holds your stock: your PIM, your webshop or your warehouse system.
Steps
- Click "Fulfillment" in the left sidebar and then "Stock & order configuration".
- Open the section "Stock forwarding" and switch on the cells from your source in the row to each marketplace in the column.
- Click "Save changes" in that section. The section saves on its own, so nothing happens until you do.
- Give every product a marketplace tab for each marketplace you want to sync stock to. The tab is what allows the count to be written there.
- Fill in the mandatory fields and validate the product, until it counts as green on the Validation page. Get a product live walks through that.
- Tick the checkbox in front of every product you want to list, or use "Select items to perform actions" to take the whole page. The counter next to it shows how many are selected.
- Click "List offers" for products that already stand on the marketplace. That links the two identities and switches the stock sync on.
- Click "List content" first and then "List offers" for products that are not on the marketplace yet. Content builds the product page, the offer carries the stock and the price.
What happens next
From here you change nothing on this page again. Every stock change at your source is picked up in the background, within five minutes, and pushed to every destination whose switch is on. What arrives is the count minus the stock margin you set per listing.
Three ways to feed a change. Import from your webshop and map only the EAN code and the stock field. Import a file with a column for the EAN code and a column for the stock. Or let your warehouse system push its own counts, with its switches on towards your other channels.
Common problems
Products are green but the count is not updated. They are validated, not listed. Only a product that went through "List offers" carries a stock link.
One marketplace does not receive the count. Check the switch from your source to exactly that connection, and whether that section was saved.
The listing buttons answer with "Please select items to update". No products are selected yet. Tick the products first, then click again.
FAQ
Can a marketplace push stock to another marketplace?
Yes, as long as "Use source of truth" is off. A marketplace can both send and receive stock, so the cell from one marketplace to another is there and you can switch it on. A PIM or a webshop as your source is the usual setup. Switch "Use source of truth" on and only the connection you picked as source sends stock, which drops those marketplace to marketplace cells.
What do the colours next to a marketplace mean?
Red is no marketplace tab, orange is missing mandatory fields, yellow is waiting for validation and green is ready to list. Only green products sync.
