Update stock in your webshop and warehouse

Send a stock change from e-tailize to your webshop or CMS, and let a warehouse system push its own counts back.

Before you start

This runs in two directions and the switches decide which one you get. From the PIM towards your webshop, so a change you make in e-tailize lands there. Or from your warehouse system towards your other channels, so its counts lead and you never type a number in e-tailize again.

Both directions live in the section "Stock forwarding" on the page "Stock & order configuration", under "Fulfillment" in the left sidebar. The row sends and the column receives.

Steps

  1. Click "Fulfillment" in the left sidebar and then "Stock & order configuration".
  2. Open the section "Stock forwarding".
  3. Switch on the cell from the PIM in the row to your webshop connection in the column, to push changes from e-tailize outwards.
  4. Switch on the cells from your warehouse system in the row to every channel in the column you want it to feed, if that system holds your stock instead.
  5. Click "Save changes" in that section.
  6. Click "Products" in the left sidebar and open "Quick edit" on the product you want to change.
  7. Change the stock and save. The new count is passed on to every destination whose switch is on.

What happens next

Nothing else is needed from you. e-tailize checks for changes in the background and forwards them within five minutes. It works in both directions: the receiving side ends up with the same count as the sending side, whether that is your webshop or the PIM. A marketplace receives that count minus the "Stock margin" you set per listing.

A warehouse system needs no manual step at all. Adjust the count there, or simply wait for an order of the product: the system then sends the new level to e-tailize and on to every connected channel.

Common problems

Your change does not arrive. Check the direction first, because the row is the sender. Then check whether that section was saved, and give the change time to travel.

Your change is not applied. Then a source of truth is on and it is not the system you typed in. See Understand the stock source of truth.

FAQ

Do I have to press anything to synchronise?

No. Forwarding runs by itself once the switches are on and saved.

Can I change the stock of many products at once?

Yes. Besides "Quick edit" you can feed the change as an import from your webshop or as a file with an EAN code column and a stock column, see Synchronise stock to your marketplaces.
