Before you start

YOOX is an online retailer for luxury fashion and design, and it sells through a Mirakl seller platform. Get your YOOX seller account approved first. After that you need two things from YOOX itself: an API key you create in their seller back office, and your Store Id. Both live at YOOX, never in e-tailize, and we never ask for your key in the chat.

YOOX runs on Mirakl, the software behind most retailer marketplaces we connect, so the wizard looks the same as for every other Mirakl marketplace. You need one API key from YOOX.

We connect YOOX for the Netherlands.

Steps

Create the API key in the YOOX seller back office and copy it in full. Your Store Id sits there too, in the settings or on the main page of your seller account. YOOX has one tile in the grid, and a key from another Mirakl marketplace never works here, even though the form looks the same.

  1. Open "Settings" in the left sidebar and click "Connections".

  2. Click "New connection", or open the marketplace wizard directly.

  3. Pick "Marketplace" in the chooser and click the YOOX logo under "Connect marketplace provider".

The wizard for YOOX: "Fill in required connection tokens" with the fields of YOOX
The wizard for YOOX: "Fill in required connection tokens" with the fields of YOOX
  4. Fill in "Connection name", your own reference for this connection.

  5. Paste the value into "API KEY". The field is masked, so you see dots instead of what you pasted.

  6. Pick the country you sell in under "Where do you offer your products?".

  7. Fill in "Store Id".

  8. Click "Save".

  9. Click "Validation" in the left sidebar, pick the YOOX tile and click "Add missing PIM tabs" on every category you sell there.

  10. Fill the mandatory YOOX fields on those tabs and click "Validate products". Get a product live walks through that screen step by step.

  11. Click "Listing", pick the YOOX tile, select your validated products and click "List content". Click "List offers" once the content is through.

What happens next

The fields you map come from the YOOX categories themselves, and a change on their side can make a field appear or disappear, so map against the refreshed definition when that happens. Content goes over first, offers follow once the content is through.

The connection appears on the "API connections" page and as a card under "Existing connections" on the dashboard, and it starts feeding your dashboard, your orders and your stock. Orders from YOOX come in under "Fulfillment" and then "Orders", with the same "Open", "Processing" and "Closed" filters as your other channels.

Common problems

One bad barcode stops the whole offer push: e-tailize checks every EAN before it calls YOOX and answers "Invalid product id. Please make sure to supply a valid EAN." Fix the flagged barcodes and push the offers again. A key copied halfway, or regenerated in the back office afterwards, saves fine and then moves nothing. Create a fresh key and save the connection again.
