Before you start

Leroy Merlin is the marketplace of the French home improvement chain, part of the Adeo group. Leroy Merlin asks for an address and a VAT number in the European Union, stock in the European Union, EAN-13 codes, a registered trademark, and a carrier that delivers to homes and returns a tracking link. Orders have to be ready within 45 days.

Leroy Merlin runs on Mirakl, the software behind most retailer marketplaces we connect, so the wizard looks the same as for every other Mirakl marketplace. You need one API key from Leroy Merlin.

We connect Leroy Merlin for France, Italy, Spain, Poland and Portugal.

Steps

Your account manager walks you through the seller portal and the document check first. Once that is approved you get access to Mirakl, the back office of Leroy Merlin. Create the API key there and look up your Store Id.

  1. Open "Settings" in the left sidebar and click "Connections".

  2. Click "New connection", or open the marketplace wizard directly.

  3. Pick "Marketplace" in the chooser and click the Leroy Merlin logo under "Connect marketplace provider".

  4. Fill in "Connection name", your own reference for this connection.

  5. Paste the value into "API KEY". The field is masked, so you see dots instead of what you pasted.

  6. Pick the country you sell in under "Where do you offer your products?". The list holds "France", "Italy", "Spain", "Poland" and "Portugal".

  7. Fill in "Store Id".

  8. Click "Save".

  9. Click "Validation" in the left sidebar, pick the Leroy Merlin tile and click "Add missing PIM tabs" on every category you sell there.

  10. Fill the mandatory Leroy Merlin fields on those tabs and click "Validate products". Get a product live walks through that screen step by step.

  11. Click "Listing", pick the Leroy Merlin tile, select your validated products and click "List content". Click "List offers" once the content is through.

What happens next

Leroy Merlin then runs a technical onboarding: you set up your shop, load your catalogue and place a test order together. A launch call follows, and only after that call does your shop open to shoppers. The same shop account also opens the Leroy Merlin marketplaces in Italy, Spain and Portugal.

The connection appears on the "API connections" page and as a card under "Existing connections" on the dashboard, and it starts feeding your dashboard, your orders and your stock. Orders from Leroy Merlin come in under "Fulfillment" and then "Orders", with the same "Open", "Processing" and "Closed" filters as your other channels.

Common problems

Mirakl scores how complete your product data is, and Leroy Merlin takes a product offline or stops showing it while that score stays under the threshold, so fill in the optional attributes too and list again. Wood and wood parts need an FSC or PEFC certificate. A key that was regenerated in the back office saves fine and then moves nothing.
