Before you start
You need a Leroy Merlin shop that is open on Mirakl and a Leroy Merlin connection in e-tailize. Sell on Leroy Merlin covers the application and the connection.
Leroy Merlin does not publish its content guide. The rules that count sit per category in your own Mirakl back office, so check there first. What follows is what the app enforces and what we see Leroy Merlin ask for most.
Four requirements are settled before you write a single field. Your business sits in the European Union: a physical address in the EU, a VAT number in an EU country and your stock in the EU. Every product needs an EAN-13 code. The trademarks you distribute have to be registered at INPI, WIPO or both. Products that contain wood or wood parts, packaging aside, need an FSC or a PEFC certificate and may not come from protected endemic species.
Steps
- Click "Validation" in the left sidebar and pick the Leroy Merlin tile.
- Click "Add missing PIM tabs" for a category you sell on Leroy Merlin. The first product without a tab opens, with the "PIM tabs" wizard already open.
- Pick the marketplace category in the wizard with care: it cannot be changed once the tab exists.
- Answer "Would you like to translate?" and "Would you like to enrich with AI?", then click "Next".
- Check the fields on the confirm step and click "Create tab". Only then does the tab exist.
- Fill every mandatory field on the tab. A product with an empty mandatory field does not get through validation.
- Fill the optional fields as well. Leroy Merlin scores how complete your content is, and an optional attribute counts towards that score.
- Save the product with "Save & close".
- Click "Validate products" and correct what validation reports. A refused value is not always an empty field: a category also rejects a value it does not accept, then pick a different one.
- Click "Listing" in the left sidebar, pick the Leroy Merlin tile, select your validated products and click "List content".
- Click "List offers" once the content is through. Content puts your product in the catalogue of Leroy Merlin and the offer attaches your terms to it, so this order is the only one that works.
What happens next
Leroy Merlin takes the content into its catalogue and computes the completeness score of your product itself. While that score stays under the threshold, Leroy Merlin takes the product offline or stops showing it. The score, and which products sit under it, are in the report in your Mirakl back office and not in e-tailize.
Two fields you do not have to fill yourself. When your Leroy Merlin tab holds the storage country field or the Leroy Merlin VAT field and you left it empty, e-tailize fills in "NL" and "Standard" for you. A value you set yourself stays as it is.
Common problems
My offers are not active while my score looked fine
The score is computed by Leroy Merlin, not by e-tailize, and a score from an older upload route says nothing about what you now list through e-tailize. Open the report in the back office, see which products are under the threshold, add attributes to those tabs, validate them and list them again.
The listing error names a field I cannot place
A listing error always carries three things: the EAN, the field and the value that was refused. Look the product up under "Products" with that EAN, correct that one field with the instruction next to the error, save with "Save & close", validate, then click "List content" again. Fix validation and listing errors walks the whole route.
My content is in the wrong language
A PIM tab translates your content into the language the marketplace asks for. Read the values on the tab before you list, colours in particular, and correct the ones that stayed in the original language.

Is there a maximum title or description length?
Leroy Merlin publishes no length per field, and we carry none for this marketplace. Check the limit per attribute in the back office.
Do the optional fields really matter?
Yes. The mandatory fields get you through validation inside e-tailize, while the completeness score of Leroy Merlin counts the rest as well. Filling them is the shortest route for a product that is blocked or not shown.
My stock is not in the Netherlands. What do I do?
Fill the storage country field on your Leroy Merlin tab yourself, with the EU country where your stock sits. e-tailize only sets "NL" when that field is on the tab and you left it empty, so your own value is never overwritten. Stock outside the EU means Leroy Merlin does not accept you as a seller.
