Before you start
Kruidvat is a Dutch retail chain known for beauty, personal care, household and baby products, and it runs a marketplace of its own. Kruidvat picks its sellers, so nothing gets connected before you have applied there and your seller account is approved. Kruidvat only lets complete and compliant product data through, so count on filling in every mandatory field.
Kruidvat runs on Mirakl, the software behind most retailer marketplaces we connect, so the wizard looks the same as for every other Mirakl marketplace. You need one API key from Kruidvat.
We connect Kruidvat for the Netherlands.
Steps
Create the API key in the Mirakl back office of Kruidvat and copy it in full. Your store id sits there too, in the settings or on the main page of your seller account. A key from another Mirakl marketplace never works here, even though the form looks identical.
Open "Settings" in the left sidebar and click "Connections".
Click "New connection", or open the marketplace wizard directly.
Pick "Marketplace" in the chooser and click the Kruidvat logo under "Connect marketplace provider".

Paste the value into "API KEY". The field is masked, so you see dots instead of what you pasted.
Pick the country you sell in under "Where do you offer your products?". The list holds "The Netherlands".
Fill in "Store Id".
Click "Save".
Click "Validation" in the left sidebar, pick the Kruidvat tile and click "Add missing PIM tabs" on every category you sell there.
Fill the mandatory Kruidvat fields on those tabs and click "Validate products". Get a product live walks through that screen step by step.
Click "Listing", pick the Kruidvat tile, select your validated products and click "List content". Click "List offers" once the content is through.
What happens next
The app treats Kruidvat as a Dutch channel, so it expects your titles, descriptions and attributes in Dutch. Listing goes in two steps, as on every Mirakl marketplace: the content first, the offers once the content is through. Only then can a shopper on Kruidvat buy the product.
The connection appears on the "API connections" page and as a card under "Existing connections" on the dashboard, and it starts feeding your dashboard, your orders and your stock. Orders from Kruidvat come in under "Fulfillment" and then "Orders", with the same "Open", "Processing" and "Closed" filters as your other channels.
Common problems
There is no separate Kruidvat content guideline, so the mandatory fields on the Kruidvat tab are the rule: fill them all before you list again. The tab carries nine image fields at most, so a tenth image has nowhere to go. A key that was regenerated in the back office afterwards saves fine and then moves nothing: create a fresh key and save the connection again.
