Before you start
bol is a large marketplace for new and used consumer products in the Netherlands and Belgium. You need an active bol seller account before you can connect. Check one thing in that account first, the sales location it sells in. The location you pick in the wizard has to match it.
bol runs its own API, so the wizard asks for the fields of bol itself and instructions written for a Mirakl marketplace do not apply. You connect by logging in with your bol seller account, so there is no key to copy.
We connect bol for the Netherlands and Belgium.
Steps
There is no key to create and nothing to paste. Under "On Bol, where do you offer your products?" you pick the same sales location as your seller account, otherwise your offers land in the wrong country. Then you log in at bol yourself, so keep that login at hand.
Open "Settings" in the left sidebar and click "Connections".
Click "New connection", or open the marketplace wizard directly.
Pick "Marketplace" in the chooser and click the bol logo under "Connect marketplace provider".

The wizard for bol: "Fill in required connection tokens" with the fields of bol Fill in "Connection name", your own reference for this connection.
Pick the country you sell in under "On Bol, where do you offer your products?". The list holds "Belgium", "The Netherlands" and "The Netherlands and Belgium".
Click "Authenticate". bol opens in a new tab, where you log in with your seller account and give e-tailize access.
Click "Save".
Click "Validation" in the left sidebar, pick the bol tile and click "Add missing PIM tabs" on every category you sell there.
Fill the mandatory bol fields on those tabs and click "Validate products". Get a product live walks through that screen step by step.
Click "Listing", pick the bol tile, select your validated products and click "List content". Click "List offers" once the content is through.
What happens next
e-tailize sends your stock to bol inside a range of 0 to 999. A product still needs a bol tab, a validation and a listing before anything is for sale. The mandatory fields come from the bol API, so a field the shop page never shows can still block a product.
The connection appears on the "API connections" page and as a card under "Existing connections" on the dashboard, and it starts feeding your dashboard, your orders and your stock. Orders from bol come in under "Fulfillment" and then "Orders", with the same "Open", "Processing" and "Closed" filters as your other channels.
Common problems
Saving an empty form gives three messages, "Connection name is required", "Secret or Api key is a required field" and "Sales location is a required field". The middle one is the login step, so finish the "Authenticate" flow instead of hunting for a key. Images need a public https URL of at least 500 by 500 pixels, on a white background, without logos, watermarks or text.
bol enforces limits on content: a title is at most 70 characters.
