Before you start

Allegro runs four markets: Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. Each has its own language and its own currency, so your content is checked per market you sell on.

On Allegro every offer hangs on a catalogue product. That is why the order on the "Listing" screen matters: "List content" first, then "List offers". Almost everything below is checked inside e-tailize first, so you meet these rules on the "Validation" screen.

Steps

  1. Keep the product name at most 75 characters. Above that, validation stops the product with "Allegro product name cannot be longer than 75 characters." and names the length you are at. Allegro asks for at least 12 characters and at least 3 words, so a very short name is refused there even when it passes here.
  2. Give every product a reference or an EAN. Without one, validation shows "Reference or EAN is required." on the "Reference" field. Often the EAN does exist on your product and is only not linked to the Allegro tab yet.
  3. Fill the parameters of the category. Allegro sets its required parameters per category, so the list changes with the category you picked. With none filled you get "At least one product parameter is required to submit Allegro product content."
  4. Use a brand Allegro already knows. Allegro has to accept your brand in your seller account before it comes back through their API and appears in the brand field here. Until then, list under a brand that is in the list and change it later.
  5. Publish your images on a public https address. e-tailize refuses an image address that is not absolute, does not use http or https, carries login details, or points at a host that is not publicly reachable.
  6. Map a main image. Without one you get "Primary image is required to submit Allegro product content when ET image mappings are used.", and with no image at all "At least one image is required to submit Allegro product content." Allegro itself takes at most 16 images per offer, at most 2560 by 2560 pixels, with a white background and no watermark on the main image.
  7. Label the images that AI made. Since 29 July 2026 Allegro asks you to mark images that AI generated or co-created, following the EU AI Act. It is a labelling duty and not a ban, and it counts for offers that are already live as well.
  8. Fill the GPSR safety information. New offers, and offers you update for GPSR, need safety text: "Allegro safety information is required for new or GPSR-updated product offers. Provide safety information text." That text has a ceiling of its own, "Allegro safety information text cannot be longer than 5000 characters.", and a responsible producer that e-tailize can resolve belongs to the same gate.
  9. Check the price per market. A base price above zero is always required. Hungary has a rule of its own: "Hungarian Allegro prices must be whole HUF amounts ending in 0 or 5." List on a market other than the base market of your authenticated seller account and Allegro wants a base marketplace price above zero too.

What happens next

Allegro validates in two rounds. It answers straight away when the submission itself is wrong and keeps checking afterwards, so a clean send is not proof yet. When it refuses, it names the exact parameter ids it is missing, so you can walk back to the field.

Content reaches the catalogue before you can attach an offer. On a brand new product "List offers" can still fail for a while with "Allegro accepted the product proposal, but the catalog product is not searchable by EAN or exact product name yet". Run "List content" again once Allegro finished its catalogue check, then create the offer.

Common problems

A long list of mandatory fields per product. On the "Validation" screen you can point an Allegro field at a field you already have, for example a maximum height at your height, and then use "Apply to all products" so the rest of the category follows. Its tooltip says: "Click this button to update all fields for all products in this validation."

Your own brand is missing from the dropdown. Allegro has to register it in your seller account first, nothing inside e-tailize can add it for you.

Listings stop updating and the log mentions the Allegro access token. That is the connection and not your content: authorise the Allegro connection again.

FAQ

Does a title that fits in 75 characters always pass?

No. 75 is the ceiling e-tailize checks. Allegro has a floor too, at least 12 characters and 3 words, so a name of two words is refused on their side.

Are AI generated images allowed on Allegro?

Yes, with a label. Since 29 July 2026 Allegro asks you to mark images that AI generated or co-created, following the EU AI Act. Offers that are already live carry the same duty.

Do the content rules differ per Allegro country?

The content rules do not. Prices do: Hungary only takes whole HUF amounts ending in 0 or 5, and a market other than the base market of your seller account also needs a base marketplace price.
