Selling on Metro.
Metro Marketplace is where professional buyers order online for the business they run, from a kitchen brigade to a hotel floor. We know what this channel looks for, and e-tailize runs catalogue, translation, listing quality, stock and orders from one place.
- Connected to Metro
- Catalogue imported
- GTIN and category attributes mapped
- Listing text prepared per target market
- Stock and orders in sync
How do you start selling on Metro?
Metro Marketplace carries nonfood ranges for professional buyers in five countries, so your company data, a GTIN per product and listing text in the language of every target market are the base. We prepare your case and put it forward in the terms this channel uses, then e-tailize connects your catalogue and keeps offers, stock and orders running from one place. The same base is ready for 200+ marketplaces afterwards.

Six reasons to pair Metro with e-tailize.
A buyer who orders for a business
A chef replacing pans, a hotel buying linen, an office restocking. Order values behave differently when the purchase is a working cost.
We know what this channel looks for
Your case goes forward in the terms Metro uses: company data, the ranges you genuinely cover, your delivery promise, your service level.
Five markets, five sets of text
A product record carries its own name per market language, and buyers expect an answer in that language. Our software prepares that text.
One PIM for GTIN and attributes
GTIN, category IDs, images and mandatory attributes live in one place, so offers pass the checks in one go and stay consistent.
Your defect rate stays low
Metro watches returns and customer contacts together, daily. Reliable stock sync and fast order routing keep that number down.
The same base, 200+ marketplaces
What you prepare for Metro is the starting point for the next channel. Expanding becomes a choice, not a project.

What fits a Metro buyer
The assortment is built around hospitality, catering and office life: professional kitchen equipment, tableware, cleaning and hygiene, disposables, workwear, office supplies, outdoor furniture.
What stays off the marketplace
Metro publishes the groups that may not be offered at all: food and dietary supplements, tobacco, alcohol, books, media, jewellery, watches, precious metals, musical instruments, sports equipment, medicines. Offers that ignore the list get removed.
Questions sellers ask about Metro.
What does selling on Metro cost?
Metro charges a basic membership of €49 per month net, starting at the third month after registration and counted once across all Metro countries. On top comes a commission of 10% to 15% of the gross sales price including shipping, set by destination country and category. A €200 order costs €20 at 10% and €30 at 15%. The e-tailize program comes separately, from €249 per month.
Do I need a GTIN for every product?
Yes, up to 14 digits, whenever one exists. For a product without one you supply the manufacturer plus the MPN instead. In the e-tailize PIM those identifiers sit next to your category IDs, attributes and images, so an upload passes in one go.
Who ships and who handles returns?
You do. Shipping runs through groups you define, each with a delivery type: parcel, kerbside for bulky goods, or delivery into the room of use. Returns are settled in Seller Office, while e-tailize keeps orders, tracking and stock in one view.
Can I sell in more than one Metro country?
Yes. Product records carry their target markets, and the membership is charged once however many countries you serve. Each extra market needs its own paperwork: one stop shop registration, terms matching the destination, local producer responsibility rules and service in that language.
How fast can I be live?
The connection takes minutes once your seller account exists. The real work is GTIN coverage, category attributes and product text per market, and we do that with you. After the standard checks your offers publish.
Why sell through e-tailize instead of doing it alone?
You always sell under your own name and your own contract. We prepare and present your case, because we know what this channel looks for, and the software then runs catalogue, translation, listing quality, stock and orders. Whether your brand fits here is what the free call answers.
Metro's setup, in plain English.
For Metro and every other channel you work with one e-tailize program. You pay along with the marketplace revenue we build together, not per product. Metro charges its own membership plus a commission per sale.
The exploration call and the marketplace scan are both free. The program starts at €249 per month, paid at signing, and the fee follows the new marketplace revenue we create together. Cancel any month.
We get
you on Metro.
Book a free exploration call: you see straight away which part of your range suits a professional buyer and what it could earn. Whether your brand belongs here, and whether it is worth the effort, is exactly what that call is for. Our fee follows the new revenue.
