Selling on Praxis Marketplace.

Praxis is the Dutch home improvement chain of Maxeda, and since February 2023 its webshop and app also carry a Mirakl marketplace. e-tailize knows what a Dutch DIY aisle measures a range on, then runs catalogue, translation, stock and orders.

The short answer

How do you start selling on Praxis Marketplace?

Maxeda runs one marketplace across Praxis in the Netherlands and Brico in Belgium, so a range is built for both storefronts at once. It expects a professional DIY or garden assortment, complete product data, Dutch copy and evidence that production and timber follow its policies. e-tailize prepares and presents your case, then keeps catalogue, stock and orders moving.

Benefits of integrating

Six reasons to pair Praxis Marketplace with e-tailize.

One monthly fee, buyers on both sides of the border

Praxis and Brico run off one Maxeda platform, so the subscription reaches Dutch, Belgian and Luxembourg shoppers at once.

Dutch copy that a builder recognises

Titles and specifications are written for Dutch buyers, not machine translated, and Belgium needs French beside them.

The compliance file ready before it is asked for

Timber certification and social compliance evidence hang on the product record, so the file is complete, not scattered.

Your listing sits inside a project, not a search box

Shoppers arrive mid renovation, with a kitchen or a bathroom in mind. Content answering that project question outsells a bare title.

You answer the buyer, and that has to hold

The sale is a contract between you and the shopper. Orders, tracking and returns therefore run through one screen.

The same base opens the next 200+

What you can sell

What you settle first

A product outside the Maxeda categories for DIY and garden has nowhere to sit, and neither does an article with thin paperwork. Everything meets the law of its country of sale.

Questions sellers ask about Praxis Marketplace.

What does selling on Praxis Marketplace cost?

Praxis publishes no rate card, but two integration platforms that connect the channel report the same model: no setup cost, EUR 66 per month excluding VAT for Praxis and Brico together, plus 7% to 17% commission per item sold depending on the category. On a EUR 100 article that is EUR 7 to EUR 17 to Maxeda, on top of the monthly amount. The e-tailize program sits alongside, from EUR 249 per month.

Does my range go onto Brico as well?

Yes. Praxis and the Belgian and Luxembourg storefronts sit on one Maxeda marketplace, and partners list on both sides. Hence the shared monthly amount, and hence French copy beside your Dutch.

Who ships the order and who answers the buyer?

You do. The purchase is a contract between the shopper and you, not with Praxis, and partners take end responsibility for order management, customer service and product information. Accepted orders go out within 30 days unless a longer term is agreed, and damage or loss stays your risk.

How long does a Praxis buyer have to return an item?

Thirty days as standard, ninety days for shoppers with a free Praxis Plus account. That applies to every partner, so returns belong in your margin calculation from day one.

What evidence does Maxeda ask for around sustainability?

Products meet the law of the country of sale and fall inside the Maxeda categories for DIY and garden. Where production happens in risk countries, Maxeda asks a third party declaration on social compliance, in practice BSCI. Timber follows their wood policy, certified FSC or PEFC, with reduced packaging.
