Before you start
Exporting your products runs through support. Ask for it and you get your products back as a CSV file.
Steps
- Open the chat in the app and ask support for an export of your products as a CSV file.
- Say which project the export is for.
- Open the file you receive and check it before you do anything with it. It is your product content at the moment of the export.
- Edit the file only in the columns you mean to change, and keep the EAN column as it is.
- Import the file back when you are done, with Import products with a CSV file.
What happens next
You get a CSV file from support. When you import that file back, you map its columns onto the e-tailize fields in the import screen yourself.
Exporting changes nothing in your catalog. Importing the file back does: products are matched on their EAN and the values in your file land on them, so existing product content can be overwritten. Read the CSV import article first, then import.
Common problems
"Export products" opens the export to your webshop. The logos under "Products export" open the page "Export products to your CMS" for that webshop, which is a different route. Ask support for a CSV.
You wanted to update a marketplace, not your own data. That is the listing flow and not an export. See Content versus offers.
FAQ
Can I export the products myself?
No. Support runs the export for you.
What is an export good for?
Checking what your catalog really holds, and editing a large set of fields in a spreadsheet before you bring it back in one import.
