Before you start

The Pim matrix says which marketplace field each e-tailize field fills when a marketplace tab is created. It configures mapping only: it changes nothing on your products and sends nothing to a marketplace.

The matrix is stored per marketplace: one or more marketplace fields for each e-tailize field. A category is no part of it, so the mapping does not differ per category.

e-tailize keeps the matrix for you. Do you want automapping to fill a field differently, then ask us in the support chat.

What happens next

The matrix does its work when you create a marketplace tab with "Add new". In the step "Fields mapping : The following fields will be created for all products" every marketplace field already carries a suggestion, chosen in a fixed order:

  • a field of your own whose label is exactly the label of the marketplace field,
  • then the matrix,
  • then a field whose label is nearly the same.

A field without a close match stays empty on purpose, so you fill it yourself. A field with AI enrichment switched on stays empty too: its value comes from the enrichment run. See AI enrichment and translation.

Tabs that already exist keep the mapping they were created with, so change those on the tab itself: see Link Main Tab fields to your PIM tab.

Common problems

A marketplace field stays empty in the wizard. No field of yours carries a label close enough to it, and the matrix has nothing for it either. Fill it in the wizard yourself, or ask us in the chat to put it in the matrix.

The suggestion is not the field you expected. A field of your own whose label is exactly the label of the marketplace field is used instead of the matrix. Change the field in the wizard, and tell us in the chat if it should come out differently every time.

FAQ

Does the matrix edit my product data?

No. It only records which marketplace fields an e-tailize field fills, nothing else. Values keep coming from your own product fields, and a tab still needs a validation and a listing.

Do I have to map every field myself?

No. A field of yours whose label is exactly the label of the marketplace field is suggested by itself, and the matrix covers the fields where the labels differ. What is left over you fill in the wizard.

Can I change the matrix myself?

No, we keep it for you. Tell us in the support chat which marketplace field an e-tailize field should fill, and we set it.
