Before you start
e-tailize has two AI options in the "PIM tabs" wizard, "Would you like to enrich with AI?" and "Would you like to translate?". Both work on text fields. Neither one makes, edits or translates an image, and e-tailize does not change your image files.
So the photos a marketplace receives are the files you uploaded and the fields you pointed at them. AI enrichment and translation covers what the two options do write.
What happens next
Answer Yes to "Would you like to enrich with AI?" and the next screen, "Confirm fields", ticks an AI checkbox for every field the AI can write. Hover it and it reads "Generate with AI (beta)". Those are the text fields that are set up for AI for that marketplace and that category. An image field never gets that checkbox, so you fill it the normal way, by mapping.
The input the AI reads is your own product data. For a normal field that is what sits on the "Main product" tab. For a field whose prompt combines several fields, the values on your other tabs come along as well, with the image fields filtered out, so nothing from a photo ends up in a generated title or bullet.
Your images reach a marketplace tab in one of two ways. Either the marketplace image fields point at your own "PrimaryImage" and "Images" and follow whatever sits on the main product, or you upload a separate set on the tab itself with "Upload images". Import into a PIM tab and use images per marketplace walks through both.
You can upload up to 25 images, as .jpg, .jpeg or .png, each file at most 5MB. One of them is the main image: tick the checkbox on it, its tooltip reads "Choose as main image", and the line under the row reads "Select the main image".
Common problems
"Maximum photos upload of 25 exceeded". You are at the limit for this product. Remove an image before you add another one.
A file is refused as too big. The message names your file and says it is bigger than 5MB. Save the image smaller and upload it again.
"Please set the primary image." The product has images, but none of them is marked as the main one. Tick the checkbox on the image you want and save.
The marketplace refuses your images. A marketplace sets its own limit on the number of images and it can be stricter than the 25 you can upload here. Remove the extra images from the tab, or point the additional image fields at the set you do want to send, then list again.
FAQ
Can the AI make my background white?
No. e-tailize does not edit your image files. Prepare the photo the way the marketplace asks for it, then upload the result.
Does translation change text that is printed inside an image?
No. Translation runs on the value of a field, never on a picture. When a marketplace needs a photo in its own language, upload that set on the tab of that marketplace.
Why does my image field have no AI checkbox?
Because the checkbox only appears on text fields that are set up for AI, per marketplace and per category, and image fields are not among them. Map the field to your own images instead.
Does an AI run overwrite my images?
No. A run writes text fields, never images. The images on the tab stay as you left them.
