Before you start
Cdiscount runs on Octopia, the marketplace platform of Cdiscount. Octopia works in two layers: product content sits in the catalog under your EAN, and your offer attaches to that entry. The order is fixed. "List content" first, "List offers" after that. Push an offer for a product that is not in the catalog yet and it comes back refused, every time.
Cdiscount answers in two panels on the "Listing" page. What the offer run refuses lands above the product grid, in the panel "Offer response". What the content run refuses lands in its own panel, "Listing validation". Both have the same four columns: "Ean", "Message", "Name" and "Value". "Name" is the field the message is about on the checks e-tailize runs itself. On a line Cdiscount sends back, "Name" holds the integration status of that offer and "Message" carries what the marketplace reported.
Steps
- Open "Listing" and pick your Cdiscount tile.
- Select your products and click "List offers".
- Read the panel "Offer response" that now stands above the grid: the "Message" and the "Name" of every line.
- Add the missing identifier on the product for "Missing GTIN/EAN." (name "gtin") and for "Missing sellerExternalReference (Sku/Reference)." (name "sellerExternalReference"). Both are checks inside e-tailize, so nothing reached Cdiscount yet.
- Select the products that gave you "Product does not exist in Octopia catalog. Create the product before publishing an offer." and click "List content".
- Read the panel "Listing validation" that takes the place of the grid after that content run. Once it says all entries validated, click "Submit offers" in that panel.
- Pick your Cdiscount tile again to bring the product grid back, then correct what "Name" points at for every line that is left. On a line that carries a status in "Name", the fix comes from "Message". The price sits on the grid, in "Base price", "Increase price (€)" and "Increase price (%)". The values for "condition", "deliveryMode" and "priceMustBeAligned" have no input on this page: they come from the product specifics behind your Cdiscount PIM tab mapping or from the connector default.
- Select those products again and click "List offers".
What happens next
Content that is accepted creates or updates the product in the Octopia catalog under your EAN. From then on your offer has something to attach to, and the offer run sends price, stock, condition and delivery mode. A line disappears from "Offer response" once that push no longer refuses it.
Common problems
"Unable to validate product existence in Octopia." and "Unable to validate product state in Octopia; product content update skipped." These two are the transient pair. The lookup itself failed, not your data. The first comes back in "Offer response", the second in "Listing validation". Push again first, and only change fields if it comes back.
"Existing product is not editable for this seller; content update skipped." This one lands in "Listing validation". The product exists in the catalog, but it belongs to the marketplace or to another seller, so your content update is skipped. Your offer can still attach to it. Content changes on such a product go through Cdiscount seller support, with the EAN.
"Delivery mode '{deliveryMode}' is not available for sales channel '{salesChannelId}'." Your connection carries a sales channel, and the available delivery modes follow that channel. Some modes exist for Cdiscount only. The mode itself is resolved from the product specific behind your Cdiscount PIM tab mapping, from the existing offer, or from the connector default, so a mode the sales channel does not carry is a configuration change and not something to retry.
FAQ
Do I have to list content every time?
No. Content places the product in the Octopia catalog. If a product with your EAN is already there, an offer is enough.
Which values does the price alignment field accept?
Exactly two, Align and DontAlign. Anything else gives "Invalid PriceMustBeAligned value '{priceMustBeAligned}'. Use Align or DontAlign." A minimum price for alignment only works together with Align.
Why does "Missing or invalid offer price." keep coming back?
The listing has no positive price and no existing offer on Cdiscount carries one either. Set a positive price on the listing or the product and push again.
Is Cdiscount one of your Mirakl marketplaces?
No. Cdiscount runs on Octopia, its own marketplace platform. A Mirakl back office plays no part.
Where do I fix the condition of an offer?
The condition comes from the product specific "Condition" behind your Cdiscount PIM tab mapping, from the existing Cdiscount offer, or from the connector default. "Invalid product condition '{conditionValue}'." means the value that was sent is not one Octopia maps.
