Before you start
Two things in e-tailize look like notifications, and only one of them is yours to switch on.
The notifications you turn on are the ones your browser shows you. The bell in the top bar is something else: it carries the release notes of the platform, so it never tells you about an order, your stock or an error, and a badge on it never means you missed something operational.
Turning the browser notifications on takes two yes answers, one in e-tailize and one in your browser. e-tailize saves the choice per browser, so a second computer needs its own.
Steps
- Open "Settings" in the left sidebar and click "General information". The account page opens under the heading "Account management".
- Scroll to the card "Notification settings" and switch on "Enable notifications".
- Pick your topics. "Orders", "NewFeatures" and "Messages" each get their own switch, and they only appear once "Enable notifications" is on.
- Click "Save preferences".
- Answer the permission question your browser asks with its allow option. Refuse it and nothing reaches your screen, whatever the switches say.
What happens next
e-tailize confirms with "Notification preferences updated successfully", and this browser starts showing you the topics you switched on.
The bell keeps doing its own job. Click it and the release notes open, the five most recent ones, and the badge that counts the new ones clears. The panel closes with its close button or the escape key, not by clicking beside it, and the same release notes have their own page.
What actually happened in your account is not a notification either. That is "Audit Trails", subtitled "Your Recent Activities.", which lists your own recent changes with "Table Name", "Date" and "Type". "Show Trail Details" on a row opens the old and the new values, and "Export To Excel" takes the list with you.
Common problems
Nothing arriving is almost always the browser rather than e-tailize. Click the lock icon or the site information in the address bar, check that notifications are allowed for e-tailize, reload the page and save your preferences once more. On a phone you check the site permissions of your mobile browser the same way.
Your preferences are stored per browser, so what you switched on at home stays off at the office until you save it there too.
"An error occurred whiles loading releases" means the release notes could not be loaded. Reload the page. It says nothing about your notification settings.
An empty audit trail is normal: the page shows your own recent activities, so a fresh account, or work a colleague did, leaves it empty.
FAQ
Does the bell warn me about new orders?
No. The bell only carries the release notes of the platform. Your orders live under "Fulfillment" in the left sidebar, on "Orders".
How do I stop the notifications again?
Switch off the topics you no longer want and click "Save preferences" again. The permission itself sits in your browser, so withdrawing it in the site settings for e-tailize keeps your screen quiet as well.
Can I get notifications by e-mail instead?
