On this page
Before you start
Your password and multi factor authentication sit on one page. Click "Settings" in the left sidebar and then "General information". The page opens with the heading "Account management", and further down sit the blocks "Notification settings", "Profile" and "Security".
For multi factor authentication you need an authenticator app on your phone.
Your new password has to meet the same rules as at registration:
- at least 12 characters
- at least one number
- at least one uppercase letter
- at least one lowercase letter
- at least one character that is not a letter or a number
You do not need the forgotten password flow while you are logged in. The block "Security" changes your password directly.
Steps
- Tick "Enable multi factor authentication" in the block "Notification settings". It is off until you do, and it sits next to "Enable notifications".
- Scan the QR code in the dialog "Enable multi factor authentication" with your authenticator app.
- Type the code from that app in "Pass code".
- Click "Verify". You get "Multi factor authentication enabled successfully".
- Type the password you want from now on in "New password", in the block "Security".
- Type the same password again in "Confirm password".
- Type the password you use today in "Current password". That is the confirmation that it is really you.
- Click "Change password". The button stays disabled until all three boxes are filled in, the new password meets the rules above and the confirmation matches it.
What happens next
The password change ends your session right away: you see "Password Changed!" and you are logged out. Log back in with your new password.
Multi factor authentication adds a second verification step to your login, on top of the e-mail address and password. That is worth switching on especially when several colleagues share the account.
Common problems
"Invalid pass code." The code you typed was not accepted, so multi factor authentication stays off. The dialog closes on its own, so tick "Enable multi factor authentication" again and type a fresh code from your authenticator app.
"Password should have a minimum length of 12 characters". The form names every rule you missed at the same time. The other messages read the same way, for example "Password must contain at least one numeric value" and "Password must contain at least one upper case letter".
No current password at hand. Log out and use "Reset your password" on the login page instead.
You want another login address. You cannot change "Email" in the block "Profile" yourself. Ask our support team to change it.
FAQ
Is there single sign on or a social login?
No. The platform works with an e-mail address and a password, and multi factor authentication comes on top of that.
Does MFA apply to my colleagues too?
The checkbox switches it on for your account. Every member changes their own password in the block "Security" on their own "General information" page.
