How do you start selling on Castorama?
Castorama sells DIY and home improvement to French shoppers, and its marketplace runs on Mirakl. You need a professional company in the European Union, a valid EAN behind every item, French content that meets the Castorama attribute rules, and service in French. e-tailize prepares your case and your catalogue, then keeps listings, stock and orders in sync from the base that feeds 200+ marketplaces.

Six reasons to pair Castorama with e-tailize.
A French audience already shopping for the house
Visitors arrive with a project: a bathroom, a terrace, a radiator. They are measuring, not browsing.
Mirakl rejects sloppy feeds, so we clean first
A missing EAN, a thin product type or two images instead of three and the offer never appears.
French content without a translation project
Titles, bullets and specifications go into French on the way in, so listings read like a local seller wrote them.
Heavy and bulky items stay under control
Shipping rules, lead times and stock differ hugely across a DIY range. Steer them per item, not per channel.
Performance is the ranking currency
Views, basket adds, conversion and revenue over thirty days decide where your offer sits.
One catalogue, every next country
What you build for a French DIY channel starts the next one, so expanding stops being a project.

What the Castorama marketplace covers
The assortment follows the store: everything around building, fixing and finishing a home. Ranges that widen what Castorama already stocks fit best. Whether yours belongs there is what the free exploration call works out.
What is checked before an offer appears
Mirakl validates every offer at upload. An invalid EAN, a missing product type or an incomplete safety contact stops the item, and slow dispatch hurts later.
Questions sellers ask about Castorama.
What does selling on Castorama cost?
Castorama charges sellers a monthly subscription of EUR 39 excluding VAT plus a commission of 8% to 15% of the sale, depending on the category. That commission is calculated on the amount including VAT and shipping. An order line of EUR 150 including VAT and delivery therefore costs between EUR 12 and EUR 22.50, with the subscription on top. The e-tailize program starts at EUR 249 a month.
Do I need an EAN for every product?
Yes. Only products carrying a valid EAN are accepted, and the expected format is the 13 digit GTIN. That code links your offer to the right product page. In the e-tailize PIM your EANs, attributes and images sit in one place, so gaps surface before an upload fails.
Who ships the order and who handles returns?
You do, both. The sale contract sits between you and the buyer: you prepare, ship and deliver, and answer questions yourself, normally within 48 working hours. Returns are arranged online with you, since marketplace items cannot go back to a store. e-tailize routes orders into your process.
Can I sell there from outside France?
Partner sellers are professional companies established in the European Union, so your home country is not the deciding factor. Serving a French buyer is: French content, French replies and a delivery promise you can hold. Our software writes the content, and we organise the rest.
How are offers ranked?
On category pages, promotional and new arrival offers come first, after which ranking follows views, basket adds, conversion and revenue over thirty days. In search, keyword relevance decides first and performance sets the order. Castorama states that what a seller pays has no effect on ranking, and sponsored placements are labelled.
Why run this through e-tailize?
Because the work is not the connection, it is everything around it: preparing your case, matching a DIY range to a strict category tree, writing French copy and holding stock accurate on heavy goods. The fee follows the new revenue, so we only earn when you do.
Castorama's setup, in plain English.
One e-tailize program covers this channel and every other one you open, priced on the marketplace revenue we build together rather than per product. Castorama itself charges a subscription plus a commission per sale, on top of your shipping cost.
The exploration call and the marketplace scan are both free. The program starts at โฌ249 per month, paid at signing, and the fee follows the new marketplace revenue we create together. Cancel any month.
We get
you on Castorama.
Book a free exploration call. We look at your range, what it could earn on a French DIY audience, and whether this channel is worth your time. The fee follows the new revenue, and the catalogue is then ready for 200+ marketplaces.
