Before you start
You need a bol connection in your project, because the two bol upload options only work with one. You also need two files from your bol seller account: your product content and your offers. e-tailize converts both for you, so you do not build a sheet yourself and you do not map the columns by hand.
Steps
- Log in to your bol seller account.
- Open "My Items".
- Choose "select items from the list to perform actions on".
- Choose "edit product information" and confirm it.
- Download the product information file with the download button on the right of the screen.
- Go back to "My Items" and click "manage offer via Excel".
- Download "your offer", also on the right of the screen.
- Open e-tailize and click "Import products" on your products page. You can also click the "CSV" logo on your dashboard; both open the same page, "Import products from csv file".
- Upload your product information file under "Upload Bol.com content".
- Scroll down to "Map csv columns to e-tailize" and pick the column that holds the weight in the "Select column" field next to "Package Weight". A bol content file has no package weight column, so this row stays empty unless you add one yourself.
- Choose an option under "Image settings for import" and click "Import products".
- Open the same page again and upload your offer file under "Upload Bol.com offers". While the images from your first import are still being fetched, both ways back show "Please wait until the current CSV image import process is completed.", so wait until that stops.
- Choose an option under "Image settings for import" and click "Import products" again. Without an image option the app stops with "Please select an image import option".
What happens next
e-tailize converts the file automatically and fills the fields for you: the EAN, the product name into "Main Title", the brand into "Designer", plus the category, the description, the colour, the material, what is in the box and your dimensions. You can still change any mapping before you import.
The summary shows the result, for example "Processed rows: 0-2, Products added: 2, Products updated: 0, Products empty EAN: 0".
Common problems
e-tailize asks you to connect bol first. Clicking "Upload Bol.com content" or "Upload Bol.com offers" without a bol connection opens a dialog that says "Please connect your bol.com store to be able to import your bol.com content and offers", with the connection form in it. Add the connection there. Saving it takes you to the connections page, so open the import page again and upload your file.
Rows counted under "Products empty EAN". Those rows had no EAN. They are not skipped: each one is added as a new product with no EAN, and every next upload of the same file adds them again. The EAN is the key of every product in e-tailize, so fill it in and upload the file again.
FAQ
Do I have to map the columns myself?
No. A bol content file has hundreds of columns and they are matched automatically. Check the mapping if you like, then import.
Does this put my products live on bol?
No. This import brings your bol content into your own catalog. To change what stands on bol you work on the marketplace tab, validate and list again. See Content versus offers.
